Protective Orders
A Protective Order is an order from the court instructing a person to desist from harassing or abusing the petitioner with the consequence of facing criminal penalty. All the attorneys in our law firm have represented petitioners and respondents in protective orders. When your children are involved it is of paramount importance to have competent representation in matters of protective orders, as the court may order temporary arrangements in custody and emergency family maintenance (i.e. costs). At Lukas Law we can represent you in either petitioning for or defending against a protective order.
Peace Orders
A Peace Order is a form of legal protection for anyone experiencing problems with an individual, including a neighbor, a stranger, or anyone else. The Peace Order enables a petitioner who wishes to be left alone to ask the Court to order another person (Respondent) to stay away and refrain from any contact with you.
Family Law
Family Law is a complex and multifaceted field of law that can be intimidating to parties involved. At our firm all of our attorney’s have the knowledge and history of success to be confident in helping you with various issues, including: Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements, Prenuptial Agreements, Separation Agreements, Litigation in Child Support, Child Custody, Property Division, Alimony, and ultimately Limited and Absolute Divorces.
Criminal Law
This firm has successfully represented individuals that have been charged with weapons crimes, violent crimes, drug trafficking through drug possession, crimes of domestic violence, burglary and theft, property crimes, and sexual assault crimes. We pride ourselves on giving our clients the best results in these difficult matters at competitive prices.
Traffic
This firm has represented individuals that have simply exceeded the speed limit to other more niche violations of the traffic code. This firm has also represented business owners who have received parking tickets. Even in simple parking citation matters this firm goes the extra mile in filing memorandums of law regarding the constitutionality of simple parking tickets. That same vigor applies to moving violations. Even small citations can come with a large financial impact. If you are found guilty of a traffic citation that has points associated with it the consequences could be a rise in your insurance rates.
DUI’s/DWI’s
This firm has represented many clients that have been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, and driving while impaired by controlled dangerous substances. In those cases this firm has had such charges either dismissed, acquitted, pled to a lesser included payable offense or received a probation before judgement. We also include in our services representation at a Motor Vehicle Administration hearing regarding your license.
Civil Litigation
If you are in a dispute regarding real estate, business contracts, or any other field that is not familial or criminal related it is imperative to have a strong and qualified attorney to help resolve your dispute in an economically efficient way. It is important that you retain an attorney with tenacity and drive that can start the ball rolling on your case in a professional and persuasive manner and see it through to the end.
Personal Injury
If you have been hurt due to any type of motor vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian accident, a slip and fall, animal bite or any other injury suffered due to someone else’s negligence you may be entitled to compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering, therapy or rehabilitation costs, or any loss of enjoyment from the things you used to be able to do but are no longer able to. For many clients such incidents have a life long impact and it is important to have an attorney who can see your case through to the end or negotiate the best settlement for you or your loved ones.
At Lukas Law we believe a consultation should be informative, thorough, and help the client better understand the legal process. We will help with strategic decisions in a case, and determine if the firm and the client are a good fit.
